This really confused me at first! I couldn't tell what all the lines are. The berry looks excellent though and the lighting on it is well done, in my opinion.
I think the berries are sitting on forks, correct? I had to look at it for a long time before I came to that conclusion. Maybe that is a bad thing because the photo kind of confused the viewer? But maybe its a good thing cause that means the viewer is taking a second look and doesn't just glance and then go to the next one?
Yeah, I agree. Cause right now the composition seems really centred and I think cropping the bottom closer to the forks would put the subject in a stronger area.
Cool photo. I like the symmetry in it. Good idea with the forks. What is the berry on top of? Is it sauce? Were the items on a reflective table? Thumbs up!
haha, i totally forgot to be looking at the comments on these photos until just now. To answer some questions, it's a blackberry on top of blueberry pie filling sauce...it's not very tasty on it's own! and the forks were laid out on tin foil to give it that reflective surface. And it wasn't taken with a macro, just the shallowest depth of field my lens would give me. somewhere between 4-5.6 i think.
