Today is a good day! I shot these apples @ the farmers market today during my lunch break! Ate all the food samples there too! :DWhat do you guys think about the highlights? It's blown out, but somehow I don't mind it. Plus, it looks weird when I put texture back into it.
What would you guys do to improve it??
Oh by the way, it's a good day because.. the LAKERS WON today!! whee!

ReplyDeletehey i sucked at that class
ReplyDeletei did manage to "recover" detail by "borrowing" from somewhere else
but yea, i ditched that cuz i thought it gave the apples more shape the way they were too
Alittle harsh of light but on a lunch break is good.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part the specular highlights don't bother me, but I think there are maybe too many of them. I like the predominant highlights but I am a little bothered by the numerous little tiny ones.
ReplyDeleteI also like the composition.

ReplyDeleteyea i was debating whether or not to take out the smaller ones!
ReplyDeletebut then i couldnt decide which one i should take out.. :(
in hindsight, i think i should have taken out the smaller highlights on the apple on the left
ReplyDeleteI also like the composition. I think it was good that you included the green cardboard container in the shot. It gives the idea that they're organic apples or smthg. I agree about harshness of the light. If you had time, you could've used a light source that mimicked sunlight and also sprayed the apples with water to give the sense of freshness. I really enjoy the shot though.
