So, I know this is really really late, but I am putting it on here anyway. Also I took it a while ago so I just pulled it out of my archives.

I took this picture in a hotel room in China. That's my younger sister. She was putting her earrings on when I was just waking up. I thought the light looked nice on her face so I told her not to move.

Sunset - Raymond

It's a sunset!! This one has been a long time coming, but better late than never! I shot this over the last weekend during an engagement session. The sunset was really nice, but unfortunately, the sky was pretty blown out, as the couple was backlit. It was either the sky or the couple though.

Here's my second option for Sunrise. I figure 2 not-so-good pictures will equal one good one. Haha.

This is my sunrise critique. I think it looks kind of like a black ink pen drawing. Meh, it's all right.

Sunrise/Sunset

This idea came from a photographer named Stephen Wilde. He did a shot very similar to this for a Lifetime Collective advertisement. I loved it and wanted to try my own version of it. So here it is.

Oh so Alone

Oh the joys of living at home and having endless props to work with. yes, my dad owns a spinning wheel. He keeps it right next to the box of children's books. Which one he gives me on my 30th birthday depends on whether I ever get married and have kids or not. hahaha. Jokes!

I really enjoyed doing this shoot - I've been wanting to try this kind of picture for awhile but never actually just went out and did it... so thanks guys for giving me a reason ( and a deadline haha)

Sunset / Sunrise

This is... i guess an interpretive piece. haha, or i just meandered through the backyard with whatever i could find in the garage. wish i would have had a model or person in the pic somehow, but that just didn't happen. The sunset part is not as obvious as maybe it should be, but it's in there somewhere!

This is a photo I took in China. I'm back early, btw! Haha. I was playing around with the cropping and I am still not sure about it. I could probably crop tighter to give greater emphasis on the funny lady staring into the camera, but for some reason I wanted to keep more of the environment in the shot. Plus, I wanted to show the huge amount of food. I don't know, what do you think?

Kind of a different take on the topic.

I didn't quite get my lighting how I wanted it. I was only using one flash and a reflector. I definitely miss being able to use studio lighting and profotos at school!!

Today is a good day! I shot these apples @ the farmers market today during my lunch break! Ate all the food samples there too! :D

What do you guys think about the highlights? It's blown out, but somehow I don't mind it. Plus, it looks weird when I put texture back into it.

What would you guys do to improve it??


Oh by the way, it's a good day because.. the LAKERS WON today!! whee!

these little mousies were very well behaved models for me. they barely moved at all and didn't make a sound. just sat there paitently waiting to have their picture taken. :)

I am so sorry you guys, but I can't post my "Delicious" photo tomorrow! The only time I could take the photo was earlier tonight because that is when my model was available. Unfortunately she ended up having to work really late and wasn't able to model so I couldn't take my photo!!! I will have it posted in the next couple days, I promise. By saturday at the latest. Please don't give me a zero on this one for handing it in late. That wouldn't help my overall average. Thanks.
